Eddy (a.k.a Tunku Eddy Nasruan Adil) was my very first manager at work. He used to call me R. Miss the good ol’ days. :’)

To say that I’m a SATC fan is an understatement. Damn I worship them! Notice it’s not a past tense i.e. I still do, very much – although I skipped the second movie as the idea of Carrie sorta cheating on Mr. Big is too much to handle. I’m lame that way and like to find my fairy tale happy endings in TV series.

I have to say this upfront: I am no angel. In fact, I am possible your worst nightmare boys. I can already have a mental checklist of people who can testify for that as I am typing now. I guess my issues are the pretty standard ones – insecure, ask for too much too often (talking about time and attention here), REALLY (like REALLY REALLY) afraid of getting hurt so I would pull the trigger on them first, selfish, crazy, you know that standard list.

I sometimes think that I am so amazing at ruining this I could make a business out of it! Headline reads, “How to lose Love in less days 7 days!” with supporting disclaimer in fine print that goes, “Complementary heartache as the opening promotion. Terms and conditions apply.” And with this, I figured the best (and the only way) is to take a spin and focus on career instead. Imagine how AWESOME it is to have an employee/ colleague/ team member who only wants to drown herself in work, a FILO at work with a single-minded objective – to foster the best communication with the brand’s and consumers’ best interest in mind, client satisfaction and trust which all will  ultimately deliver the profitability objectives for the company. It’s a WIN-WIN-WIN situation!

Frankly, I couldn’t help but to feel amazed with how I could jump from one topic to another without you guys giving me the WTF look! LOL. How a heartbreak quote from SATC can bring y’all to a full paragraph on my job-hunting-self-motivational-talk. (moment of pause) I want to get through this alright; with minimal tears soaking up my pillows. I need to.

ps. FILO stands for “First In, Last Out”. Someone used to call me that in my first agency and I secretly loved it.

I couldn’t sleep last night because I know that it’s over between us. I’m not bitter anymore, because I know that what we had was real. During college days, we had classes on Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. My favourite was InDesign – I still remember how I spent way too many hours on that magazine assignment which I absolutely love. I decided to churn out a gardening magazine because the stubborn me insisted on having gerberas and at that point of time, I honestly couldn’t think of any other topics/ genre that wouldn’t make the gerberas out of place. Not even now.

Now, now. So glad I found this photoshop-for-dummy-like-website which is super detailed and easy to follow. Wheeeeee. Though I must say the tutorials are rather basic – which is good for beginners like me – focusing on photo-enhancing, placing text, tweaking colours etc. Ready to see my edits without any judgement or sneer? *drumroll*
